I was here for dinner. This is a very nice traditional German restaurant. The service was excellent. The food and drink was awesome. If you are looking for a good traditional meal with a friendly atmosphere this is the place for you.....

Poor service, unfriendly, 1.5 hours waiting for food, even for the children it was not possible to get something beforehand and when asked how long it takes "then it is ready" are very disappointed

Dirty room, unfriendly reception at the front desk, when after calling and waiting finally someone came. The request for a second pillow was not complied with.

I have been coming for years u have never experienced staff unfriendly. I wait, if it is very full also like a little longer on my food, it shows me that it is freshly prepared. The food is always very good. Can only recommend it.

Service was nice but my asparagus were still very raw. Potatoes and hollandaise sauce still delicious! I think the restaurant is just right for rum steaks and fried potatoes as all the others had it at my table and they loved it!

There are two types of German restaurants deserving five stars. There are gourmet restaurants that are competing for Michelin stars with no expenses spared, and there are restaurants that pride themselves in serving traditional German dishes of high quality and class. This is the latter. This is an old style "Gasthof" in an old building that serves as restaurant, beer garden, and also has rooms to house guests over-night. If you stay overnight you will enjoy the narrow streets through the middle-aged village core and you will enjoy your walks through the abundant vinyards and orchards surrounding the town. ( May and June is the best time). You are in walking distance of the tram line to downtown Heidelberg and you can walk (35 min.) to the gardens of the Weinheim Palace and the Herrmannshof. If you want to enjoy Germany away from the tourist buses, this is your place. Oh, the food is awesome! Some of the best pork dishes you will ever have. No shortcuts in the kitchen......

Excellent traditional German food, very good! Big portions and great prices. Nothing negative to say honestly.
